Come to Cannes in a Vinisud year!

The 9th edition of the International Exhibition of Mediterranean Wines and Spirits is held in Montpellier (22-24 February 2010), just after the Cannes Convention.

Vinisud is an event which brings together all the major international wine buyers.

By coming to Cannes you can meet your potential importers in advance of the exhibition in the prestigious and private venue of the Carlton Hotel.
So wine producers from Southern France who are also exhibiting at Vinisud can invite these contacts to a further tasting at their stand to build on their business relationships.

Our selection criteria:

  • You need to import at least 150,000 bottles per year.
  • You must be accepted by our selection board.
  • Be able to provide references from your existing suppliers : (payment delays, frequency of orders etc.)
  • Be in a position of responsibility to make concrete buying decisions and to specify price points, quantities and appellations required.
  • Vinisud is your chance to prospect international markets with a minimum of expense. For example the trip below would cost around 20,000 euros:

Plane tickets : €12,000

Accommodation/Meals : €6,000

Sending of bottle samples : €2,000

To participate in the Cannes Convention, the price ranges from €3,850 (ex. VAT) to €8,000 (ex. VAT) according to the package chosen. As there are no travel costs, the organisation of your participation is much easier.
Your meeting schedule is set up according to reciprocal choices (importers’ choice is same as your choice), importers’ choices and then your choices.

Depending on which package you have chosen, you will either have a meeting timetable just for your company (individual package), or a meeting timetable where you meet importers at the same time as another company (shared package)*. With the shared package, each company has 20 minutes to present their wines. Your timetables will thus be identical.
* you decide which company you wish to share with

The hotel room:

the bedroom will be set up as an office so that you can meet the buyers in the best possible conditions. You will also be sleeping in the same room. A glass service will take place twice a day. You need to vacate the room each morning from 7-9am so that room service can prepare the room for your first meeting. Please note that English is the language used at the convention.

Example of an appointment schedule:

CANNES is also:
  • The mini-fair: organised on the first evening. It offers you the possibility to present your wines to all the buyers of the event.
  • The meals: 1 gala dinner and 2 lunches are taken together, giving you a further opportunity to showcase your wines and giving you 3 more occasions to meet new buyers.
  • The meetings take place in the room-workshops: you just need to bring your samples. Please bring sufficient samples to cover the convention, the mini-fair and the meals.
